Design Concept for a Ground-level Station for a Suspended PRT System

Original design concept for a new type of Personal Rapid Transit system addressing the problems of user access and economic viability. The unique configuration brings the cars to street level which eliminates platforms, providing much greater convenience, totally unassisted, no cost-added access for physically challenged persons, improves personal security and safety and greatly minimizes cost of construction and maintenance. For operating safety, the PRT landing area would be separated from pedestrian areas by an enclosing wall having doors similar to those on elevators. The car distribution system would be computer controlled.
