The Microform & Newspaper Collection, Suzzallo Library, holds many specialized sets of primary source documents pertaining to U.S. History in the 20th Century. The following list is only a selection of our holdings.

Government Documents
This library section holds A wide range of U.S. documents, covering all aspects of the federal government (Congressional hearings, Declassified Documents, U.S. Executive Branch Documents, Superintendent of Documents files, and many more)
Call numbers, guides and set sizes vary.

Microforms Sets Guide
A database containing descriptions of over 100 microfilm sets held by the Microform and Newspaper Collection.

Newspapers
Microforms and Newspapers has a large U.S. newspaper collection, including complete backfiles of major general newspapers (New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, etc.) and regional newspapers (Seattle Times, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, etc.). We also have many special audience papers, including ethnic, labor and community publications.

Periodicals
Most periodicals are kept in bound volumes on the 3rd floor of Suzzallo Library. The Microform and Newspaper Collection has complete backfiles of most major U.S. periodicals, including Life, Newsweek, Time and U.S. News and World Report.
