Reading.

· During  the fifth week of the course (Jan 29 – Feb 4), read and study:

o Turner, Chapter 7 IN THE ORDER: 7.1, 7.2, 7.4(especially Gauss-Seidel),  7.3, 7.6 (pp 248-51), and 7.7.

· To prepare for the sixth week of the course:

o Read Turner chapter 3. Sections 3.1, 3.2, and 3.4.

o Begin reading Turner Chapter 4.

Homework (Individual) .

· HW3  - due Week 5, Saturday February 4, 11:59  PM (midnight).

· HW4 – due Week 6, Saturday February 11, 11:59  PM (midnight).

Machine Problems (with partner)

· MP2 – preliminary submission due Friday, February 3, 11:59 PM (midnight) no late submission.

· MP2 – final submission  - due on Sunday, February 12, 11:59 PM, (midnight) with late submissions accompanied by penalty.
(The dropbox deadline is official at midnight; the specification document lists 11:45 PM instead)
