Reading Assignments and prep work for class in week 6:

• For Tuesday, Feb 12
• Read  and thoroughly study sections 4.9-4.12 of  Zumdahl; Note: You do not need to study the half-reaction method, on pages 130-135 of Zumdahl.
• Read Hanson Activity 4-4 and complete Key Questions 1-4 on page 68 and  before class and Key Questions 5-10, page 70  before class. Note that this material may be new to you – you will need to spend some time preparing it.

• The key questions prepared for this activity will be checked on the clicker quiz at the beginning of class on Tuesday.
• Read and thoroughly study sections 5.1-5.5 of Zumdahl

• Read Hanson Activity 11-1 and complete Key Questions 1-7 on page 209  before class.

• These Key Questions will be the subject of a clicker quiz during class on Tuesday.

• For Thursday, Feb 14

• Read and thoroughly study sections 5.10-5.12 of Zumdahl

• Read Hanson Activity 11-3 and complete Key Questions 1-6 on page 220  before class.
• These Key Questions will be the subject of a clicker quiz at the start of class on Thursday.

Classes:  Always complete the exercises and problems for the active learning exercise(s) if you did not get them finished in class.  It is important to complete these as they may be checked during the term.

Homework : See OWL for details and due dates. The summary of assignments is:
