Reading Assignments and prep work for class in week 10 (March 10 – 16):

• For Tuesday, Mar 12

• Thoroughly review sections 7.1-7.8 and 7.11 of Zumdahl.
  Skip sections 7.9 and 7.10. In section 7.7: read introductory material on p. 260 up to Example 7.7; skip Example 7.7, read and study p.262 through Example 7.8; skip Example 7.9; starting at the bottom of p. 265, read Examples 7.10 and 7.11.
• Read and prepare Hanson Activity 16-3
• Complete Key Questions 1 - 4 on p. 301 and 4 (Model 1); complete Key Questions 5 – 8 on p. 304 (Model 2); and complete Key Questions 9-10 on p. 306 (Model 3).
• These Key Questions will be the subject of clicker quizes during class on Tuesday

• For Thursday, Mar 14
• Read and thoroughly study sections 8.1 – 8.2, and 8.4 of Zumdahl. Skip section 8.3
• Read and prepare Hanson Activity 17-1
• Complete Key Questions 1 - 7 on p. 310.
• These Key Questions will be the subject of a clicker quiz in class on Thursday.

After Classes:  Always complete the exercises and problems for the active learning exercise(s) if you did not get them finished in class.  It is important to complete these as they may be checked during the term.

Homework : See OWL for details and due dates. The summary of assignments is:

· Required Assignments due Mar 11, 11:00 AM: sections of chapter 6

· Required Assignments due Mar 18, 11:00 AM: sections of chapters 7 and 8

· Extra Credit due March 19, 11 AM: 6-EOC

· Extra Credit due March 19, 11 AM: 7-EOC and 8-EOC

Final Exam. The exam will be taken from the material covered in Chapters 6-8. A list of study topics will be distributed by the end of this week as GA11 for exam week.
