This site is a work in progress. Check back regularly for updates. Click on the appropriate link to access the PowerPoint files for each chapter in the book. To reduce file size and download times, all files are compressed in *.zip format.

Slides which contain supplementary material not included in the book are marked with an asterisk. Some slides have comments in the “Notes” pane.

PowerPoint Slides for Chapter 1. There are 43 slides in this set. As of 2/19/03, the images for Figs. 1.10, 1.18, 1.19, 1.20, and 1.21 are not yet available. Slides 6, 10, and 11 have comments in the “Notes” pane. This broken link was re-established 10/4/03.

PowerPoint Slides for Chapter 2. There are 44 slides in this set. As of 2/19/03, the images for Figs. 2.1, 2.5, 2.6, E2.5.1, 2.14, and 2.15 are not yet available. Slides 20, 32, and 43 have comments in the “Notes” pane.
