The Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV), a non-profit organization focusing on the development of new drugs to combat malaria, recently selected the protein farnesyltransferase project (M. H. Gelb and W. C. Van Voorhis, Co-Principal Investigators) as the 2002 Project of the Year. The award was presented in May, 03 at the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland.
