Finally fellowships often change your tax status!, There is a little about this on the dept NRSA info doc (you can find it on the intranet for grad students under NRSA).

Often you are not taxed on your stipend as you go, so its typical to owe on the order of a few thousand come tax time. If this is the case you can elect for additional withholdings through the year (explained in the doc). Usually turbotax will figure all this out from your W2 and 1098-T.

====2017 WRF Innovation Undergraduate and Post-baccalaureate Fellowships in Neuroengineering====

====National Research Science Award Graduate ====

Due April, Aug, Dec

The purpose of the Kirschstein-NRSA predoctoral fellowship (F31) and postdoctoral (F32) award is to enable promising predoctoral students to obtain individualized, mentored research training from outstanding faculty sponsors while conducting dissertation research in scientific health-related fields relevant to the missions of the participating NIH Institutes and Centers. The proposed mentored research training must reflect the applicant’s dissertation research project and is expected to clearly enhance the individual’s potential to develop into a productive, independent research scientist.
