ME 460 - Kinematics and Linkage Design (3)

Catalog Data: Synthesis of linkage-type mechanisms, using graphical and computer methods. 

Prerequisites: Senior standing in engineering or permission of instructor.

Goals: To introduce mechanical engineering students to the concepts of kinematics,
kinematic analysis (including position, velocity and acceleration), and linkage design (for
two and three position motion, path and function generation). This is to include graphical
(possibly via CAD), complex algebra and computer techniques.
