Goal Page

The material on this website is designed for people of every grade level. We have tried to keep the material directed towards a general audience, however, every page has a link to a corresponding page with more information.

This website is broken up into several sections. First, it is important to learn some basics about microreactors. We will discuss some of the more commonly asked questions such as:

Next, we will model an important reaction in a microreactor. In doing so, it is important to remember the properties that are critical in the design of a reactor. For example, we need to consider the amount of desired product produced, the pressure loss in the reactor, and how the temperature is controlled inside the reactor. To fully demonstrate the effect of these properties in our microreactor, we will develop the model step-by-step.

Finally, we will learn about the effects of flow and the use of computers to solve complex problems.
