Households that make less than $66,000 are eligibile for free tax prep services. Students are IRS certified to prepare returns for domestic taxpayers as well as international students. Some limitations apply: tax returns that involve business taxes, rental income, or sale of property or stocks are not eligible for this free service.

What to bring

You must bring a social security card or international taxpayer identification number (ITIN) for each person listed on the return, as well as a photo ID. You'll also need all of your tax forms - W-2s, 1099s, etc. You may wish to review the United Way's FAQ to be sure you have everything you need.

VITA HAS BEEN INDEFINITELY DUE TO THE NOVEL CORONAVIRUS. We will update this website if and when we are able to reopen.

We are located on the first floor of the Samuel E. Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center on UW's campus. If this location is not convenient for you, be sure to check out the full list of VITA sites in Seattle on United Way's website!
