Pedfidler
Pedfiddler v0.5

Pedfiddler-0.5 is a set of programs to manipulate pedigree graphs. It can be ussed as a stand-alone version of the graphics facilities found in Pedpack. However, Pedfiddler is not fully compatible with Pedpack because it is not intended for analysis, but graphical purposes only.

The main difference between Pedfiddler and Pedpack is the 'pedc' files. In Pedfiddler the inbreeding information is replaced with four columns (three for the colors in RGB format, and the last one for labels, so it does not require an alias file). Other enhancements include a new GUI, an upgrade of the routines used to generate EPS files, a new simulated annealing routine to 'improve' the looking of the graphs and a program to generate graphs of the gene genealogies.

The programs in this package are:

Although, for Windows, only the pfiddler binary is provided.

Pedfiddler has been developed at McGill University by J C.
