Ethnomusicology Student's Association Concert

The concert will feature performances from Bali, China, Ireland, Canada, Persia, Trinidad, Ghana and the United States- it'll rock your world.

The concert is FREE but donations will be accepted to benefit a project to build a nursery/daycare in the rural community of Ping, Ghana.

Additional Info:      The UW Percussion Ensemble will feature three pieces grounded in hard rock music, including "Bonham" by Christopher Rouse, based upon the drumming patterns of Led Zeppelin?s legendary percussionist John Bonham. Tom Collier, Percussion Ensemble Director, will perform Bonham?s drum set riffs and solos; graduate student Thomas Slabaugh will conduct. The UW Steel Drum Ensemble, directed by Shannon Dudley, will also perform.
