Frequently Asked Questions

My early field research dealt with the social behavior and ecology of marmots, and more recently, I have been concerned with evaluating and interpretting patterns of individual differences in their behavior. I have also conducted studies of a variety of species, including behavior genetics in fish, courtship of parasitic wasps, habitat utilization in sympatric mountain mammals, rape in ducks, adultery in bluebirds, mate-guarding and gallivanting as male strategies, and parent-offspring interactions in birds.
