Business analytics is a growing area of interest in organizations. To help future managers grasp the tools and techniques of business analytics, I have added an analytical assessment task to the Business Statistics class. Specifically, the class now contains a data visualization task enabled through Tableau. The Tableau company was so pleased with the projects from the recent MBA class that they have featured our class as a case study available on the Tableau website (right side under Syllabi, Business Statistics, University of Washington). Or, here is a direct link to the case study. Well done!
This year I've joined the effort of the United Nation’s PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education) Working Group on Gender Equality as a repository developer. In particular I will oversee the repository submissions of curriculum, research, and learning methods in the field of Operations Management that integrates gender issues and awareness into management education. If you have suggestions about materials that can be added to this repository send me an email. Also, you can find out more about PRME and the working group at http://www.unprme.org/.

Are you trying to graph a moderated relationship? Here is an Excel spreadsheet for that. The sheet walks you through graphing a continuous moderator or binary moderator based on the interaction equation from Aiken and West (1991).
This 2012 Spring Quarter I’ll be teaching BBUS340 Operations and Project Management at the ELC. Check out the information under the Courses tab to find out more about the class.
