I am an affiliate assistant
professor in the departments of
Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology at the University of Washington.
My primary employment is with Interdisciplinary
Scientific Research,
a small research and consulting business. My interests are
interdisciplinary and
wide-ranging. My main areas of expertise include social
networks,
research methods, statistics, memory and
cognition, crime, violence, drug abuse, cultural knowledge, and
epidemiology. I have done both basic and applied research in
many
of the social, behavioral, and health sciences. The Interdisciplinary Scientific
Research web site includes more information about my interests,
training, experience, and publications. That site also gives my contact information.
I have taught courses at the
Seattle and
Bothell campuses of the University of Washington, as well as at Tulane
University, California State University, Long Beach, University of
California, Irvine, and Pacific Lutheran University. Materials
(including syllabi, overheads/slides, web resources, and assignments)
for some of
these courses can be obtained by clicking on the links below.
