Non-surgical Facial Rejuvenation

Non-surgical facial rejuvenation refers to procedures or interventions that do not require actual surgery. Procedures using lasers are discussed under laser surgery (see menu). Chemical peels may also fall into this category. Specifically, however, this term is usually used to refer to treatments with topical agents (creams), or injectable products.

For example, tretinoin (a prescription cream) may be effective in reducing some signs of skin aging such as brown sun spots or fine wrinkles.

Reduction in facial lines is also possible using injectable products such as Restylane or Botulinum toxin.

As with any medical treatment, whether these might be of benefit to you should be discussed with your physician.
