University of Washington UW Dermatologic Surgery Laser Surgery   LASER SURGERY OVERVIEW The use of lasers in dermatology has increased dramatically in the past decade. This is due to many innovations in technology that allow different lasers to perform different tasks. Lasers can improve many skin lesions, sometimes dramatically. Some lasers require several treatments to achieve best results while others may require fewer. Some lasers have minimal recovery time while others may require much more. It is important to discuss with your doctor the specifics of the condition you wish treated and the type of laser indicated for this purpose.  LASERS AVAILABLE THROUGH UW DERMATOLOGIC SURGERY  Currently, several lasers are available through the UW Dermatologic Surgery Center.
