  • Great Ideas in Energy & Science

Keeping science in perspective is tough, but touring the greatest ideas in science helps us figure out what is the most important - and what topics are under each of these highest-impact ideas. Being science literate is particularly important when it comes to making informed decisions about energy. These ideas are always accompanied by exciting events. Imagine the excitement that comes from people and organizations receiving awards and recognition for their greatest achievements.

Why are communication and critical thinking important in science literacy?

Science and art have different ways of thinking - scientists name things, artists picture them. Science thinks in terms of questions and reproducible answers while in art the question is often more important - and the answers do not need to be reproducible. The same critical thinking skills that are important in science are also valuable for everyday common sense and problem solving.
