INVENTORY OF PLANTS (page 3)
known to occur on the 484 acre University of Washington property on San Juan Island,
commonly known as the Friday Harbor Laboratories Preserve

compiled by Claudia E. Mills with the assistance of Eugene N. Kozloff *
2001 - 2005

* incorporating earlier studies by Sarah Gage (1997) and Charles Eaton (1976)

(Continued from page 2) This inventory includes both native and non-native plants located on the Friday Harbor Laboratories Preserve, comprising 484 acres on the east side of San Juan Island, San Juan County. Non-native species (for the purposes of this list, non-native means species not indigenous to San Juan Island) are indicated by an asterisk (*) preceding the scientific name of the plant. An "x" in the spreadsheet columns indicates presence of that plant within a given habitat; the habitats have not been thoroughly surveyed and additions should be expected throughout the year 2005.
