As a physical oceanographer at the
Applied Physics Laboratory at the University of Washington,
I study the global patterns and variability of tiny processes that churn
and mix both close to and far below the ocean's surface through the use of
global datasets and spending time at sea to make measurements on the open ocean.
I am also involved in the
School of Oceanography at the University of Washington as an Affiliate Assistant Professor.
In addition to my research, I am also working to advance diversity, equity and inclusion within science
and serve as an editor
for Geophysical Research Letters.
