In this lab you will study the reaction between bromate ion and iodide ion under acidic conditions. You will determine the rate law for this reaction by measuring the rate for different concentrations of the starting materials. In addition you will determine the activation energy for the reaction by studying it at different temperatures. Finally, you will investigate the effect of a catalyst on the reaction rate.
