In this lab you will study the phenomenon of equilibrium. In particular you will (a) measure the acid dissociation equilibrium constant of bromocresol green, and (b) graph the fractions of acid and conjugate base as a function of pH. The equilibrium ratio of the conjugate base to the weak acid is determined by a spectrophotometer, while the proton concentration is determined by a pH meter.
