Abstract for Lecture #17 - The Equilibrium Condition, the Equilibrium Constant and Equilibrium in Terms of Pressures

The equilibrium condition occurs in a chamical reaction when the concentrations of all reactants and products are constant with time. The position of equilibrium is defined by the equilibrium constant which is a constraint on the stoichiometric relationship of reactants and products. The equilibrium constant for gas phase systems can be expressed in terms of concentrations of reactants and products or pressures of these species.
