                  Classical Mechanics, by Tom W.B. Kibble and Frank H. Berkshire
                  Imperial College Press, 5th edition

Homework:

There will be weekly suggested  homework assignments (sent by email), each homework will be due a week later in class, but will be graded.

Quizzes:

There will be 15 minutes quizzes each Monday, except on exam days and on last week, when the quiz will be on Wednesday June 2 instead. No notes or books are allowed during quizzes.

Tentative syllabus:

             We will cover chapters 1-12, and will try to cover chapters 13-14 as well

All exams are in  PAA  A110:

            First midterm,         Monday,      April 26nd, 11:30 am - 12:20 pm
            Second midterm,     Monday,      May 24th,   11:30 am - 12:20 pm
            Final  exam,            Wednesday,  June 9th,    2:30 pm -   4:20 pm

            There will be no make-up exams and you need to take at least one midterm and the final in order to pass this course.

            You will be allowed to use on sheet of handwritten notes, no books or other notes.

Grading: 

            Each midterm and quizzes will count for 25% of the grade, and the final exam will count for 50%. The lowest grade will be dropped. If the final exam is the lowest then only half of the grade for the final exam will count.
