Arteries in skin of the anterior aspect of the thorax dissected from cadaver, from the book by Salmon {2083}. Xray image, vessels infused with radioopaque solution. Original from which this was scanned was half size. A circular metal ring marks the nipple. Scale can be appreciated from some fragments of metal needles seen in the Xray. Largest vessels appear to be nearly a millimeter in diameter. Connections to perforators from below occur at the intersections in the mesh as well as along the lengths of the larger vessels.
