Welcome!

Boris Blinov, at your service! I am an experimentalist working on trapped ion quantum computing. My group's official web site has more information about our current research and plans for the future.

My roots as a physicist trace back to Ann Arbor, where I got my PhD at the University of Michigan Department of Physics. (They actually trace even further back, to Moscow State University). Topic of my Ph.D. thesis was way outside quantum computing and atomic physics field - I worked on the experimental aspects of polarized particle beam acceleration. For my  postdoc I switched fields a bit and joined the famous ion trap quantum information group of Chris Monroe.
