Some highlights of the past quarter or so:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The #BeckerLab (Megan, Michelle, Axton, and Brenda) did a great job presenting our work at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wwu.edu\/salishseaconference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference<\/a> in Vancouver, BC. Look for a blog post from Brenda shortly.<\/li>\n<li>Likewise, they (plus Jenn) aced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/undergradresearch\/symposium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UW Undergraduate Research Symposium<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tacoma.uw.edu\/sias\/sam\/uwaters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UW Tacoma Environmental Research Symposium<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Megan passed her first committee meeting for her Master&#8217;s Degree.<\/li>\n<li>Katie won a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tacoma.uw.edu\/sias\/sam\/scholarships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mary Cline Scholarship<\/a>. Katie, Michelle, and I were awarded SIAS Teaching and Research funding.<\/li>\n<li>Michelle and team completed lab work for our DNR-funded <a href=\"http:\/\/faculty.washington.edu\/bjbecker\/projects\/larval_behavior_and_oa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">acidification<\/a> work.<\/li>\n<li>Megan and Jenn are both attending classes at <a href=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/fhl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Friday Harbor Labs<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Emily did great at the Washington State Science Fair and won an award! Expect a post on that soon.<\/li>\n<li>Brenda, Jared, and Hannah graduated last week! And lab alumni Miguel and Dana graduated with Master&#8217;s degrees, in teaching and GIS, respectively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So you can see how busy we&#8217;ve been! We have a number of student blogs from the past month or two ready to post. Then back to our regularly scheduled blogging.
