Colleagues

I wish to announce several changes in administrative responsibility within the UWBG.

First, Sandra Lier has agreed to continue her employment with us as Executive Director, UWBG. This appointment is effective January 1, 2009 and extends until June 30, 2011 unless the state budget allows us to initiate a search for a full time director. Sandra will continue to work two days per week as a 40% re-employment employee.

Second, Sandra and I have appointed Brian Thompson as the Miller Library Manager. Brian has performed splendidly over the past several months as interim manager and has been a productive member of our Library staff for many years. He is richly deserving of this appointment which takes effect December 1, 2008.

Thirdly, I wish to convey that Fred Hoyt will serve as interim director from December 2, 2008 until January 1, 2009 while Sandra is away. We greatly appreciate Fred’s assistance.
