Colleagues:

The Provost's Office has approved my request to name our new Center at Pack Forest the 'Center for Sustainable Forestry at Pack Forest.' Therefore, I am pleased to announce that effective May 1, 2004 the new Center will officially be created as a unit within the College.

Acting College Lands Manager John Calhoun recommends, and I concur, that we initiate a search for a director of the Center. Therefore, a faculty search committee will be formed to begin the search for a nontenured faculty member to lead the Center. Shortly, I will appoint this committee and distribute a DRAFT position description for comment.
