I am delighted to announce that Dr. Rick Gustafson's appointment as our first Denman Chair in Bioresource Science and Engineering was approved by the UW Board of Regents. This appointment is effective September 16, 2006 for a period of three years with the possibility of a two-year extension.

I am equally delighted to announce that Dr. David Ford's appointment as our second Rachel A. Woods Professor in Reforestation was also approved by the UW Board of Regents. This appointment is effective September 16, 2006 for a period of three years with the possibility of a two-year extension.
