Dear CFR Faculty,

Attached is the College's proposal for the development of a Northwest Environmental Forum. It is a brief "concept paper" outlining our vision.

Some of you may be aware of a similar facility on the UBC campus. If not, the url follows: http://www.liucentre.ubc.ca/liu/about/facilities.htm. The site provides some images that parallel what we are proposing. The architects who are designing the reconstruction of Merrill Hall are charged with developing some preliminary schematics plans for the Forum over the next few months. We will keep everyone updated as these become available.

We believe our proposal for the Forum furthers the College's ambition to be the leaders in environmental and natural resource sustainability discussions both on the UW campus and within the region. As always, I welcome your advise and comments. Thank you very much and best wishes.
