One of my goals as Dean is to openly share information and responsibility for the management of our permanent state funds. While the ultimate responsibility rests with the Dean, our new faculty organizational structure calls for a new management arrangement between the Dean's Office and the faculty chair.
After discussion amongst the Chair and our financial staff, I am pleased to announce that management responsibility for the College's permanent state funds has been divided between the Dean and the Chair. The Chair now has the responsibility for managing the state funds under his (her) control to achieve the goals of the faculty unit. I believe this new arrangement will facilitate a better understanding of how our permanent state funds are allocated and managed.
