Pursuant to my memo of May 21, 2008, in which I described the guidelines for the allocation of this year's faculty merit and retention salary increases, I wish to provide additional details of the merit and retention salary allocation processes.

Both the guidelines and the process were discussed with the EFC, the PMT Committee and the Faculty Chair.
