I am very pleased to report that the College has received a pledge from the Byron and Alice Lockwood Foundation to fund the Byron and Alice Lockwood Endowed Professorship over the next five years. Faculty candidates for this Professorship must have demonstrated, through professional forestry and natural resources activities, expertise in the sustainable management of natural resources, including the study, teaching, and research in these and other relevant areas.

Until the pledge is fulfilled, the Byron and Alice Lockwood Endowed Fund for Faculty Support is created to fund the same purposes as the Professorship. Distributions from this endowment are at the discretion of the dean.

We are very grateful to the Lockwood Foundation for this wonderful gift.
