Colleagues,

I wish to announce that the College, in cooperation with the Information School and the School of Social work, was awarded $122,000 from the University's Innovation and Redesign fund. Our shared proposal had the following statement of purpose:

"The deans and information technology (IT) staff of eleven smaller schools and colleges have been meeting for more than a year to identify common problems and to collaborate on solutions. The number one shared concern is the lack of useful, school-based student information (from applicant to alumnus). As a first step in addressing this serious, common need, we propose to conduct a needs assessment and systems audit and then to outline an implementation plan for the development of a school/college-based student information system."
