Colleagues

I wish to thank each of you who attended and participated in the College's strategic planning retreat on September 16, 2008. The day was filled with energy and excitement as we discussed the many issues and opportunities that lie before us over the coming months and years. I was especially pleased with the large turnout of faculty, staff and students who attended.

As you know, one of the principal purposes of the retreat was to develop an updated set of strategic goals and performance metrics that we can use to monitor our progress towards goal achievement over the next three years (2008-2011). I am pleased to report that we, as a group, successfully achieved this goal.

Our College Planning Committee met on September 17 to continue the discussion and to establish specific objectives for each of our six goals.

I ask that each of you read the two documents that are listed below and to send me any comments that you care to offer. The two documents are to be viewed as the official record of the retreat as developed by those in attendance.
