Course Description

This course is designed to be a gateway to the world of avian biology and birding. It covers the major principles of natural history, avian reproductive biology, population ecology, and national and international conservation strategies for various groups of birds. The emphasis is on western United States. Prerequisites: college-level general biology is recommended. Offered in odd years.
