I have been at the University of Washington since 2006, and my current
interests in Biostatistics are
- Statistical techniques for environmental epidemiology
- Spatio-temporal
modeling
of
indivdual
level
exposures for subjects in
the MESA Air study
of air
pollution and subclinical cardiovascular disease.
- Methods
to
account
for
exposure measurement error when individual exposures are
predicted from a statistical model based on monitoring data.
- Connections
between
Bayesian
and
frequentist methods of inference, particularly a
Bayesian paradigm for model-robust regression that is analogous to
estimating equations and associated "sandwich" standard error estimates.

From 1999 through 2006, I was a member of the Research Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and worked on a variety of scientific policy related problems in tactical air defense and bio-terrorism defense.
