The critical thinking course (Pabio 582) is designed to help Pathobiology graduate students to

  • improve their facility in formulating hypotheses
  • refine their ability to think creatively about scientific questions
  • gain experience with experimental design.

The goal is not to critique papers but rather to use them as a starting point for brainstorming about how to pursue scientific findings, conceptually and experimentally.

This 1.5 credit class will meet every Thursday during winter quarter in room T-498. Pabio 582A meets from 1:00 - 2:20 pm and Pabio 582B meets from 2:30-3:50 pm. Grading will be on a pass/fail basis.
