Assignment for Monday, March 8 and Wednesday, March 10:
Individual meetings, as per schedule below.
Please bring with you:
a) the *texts* you are reading in Latin and/or Greek (i.e.,
not only a list of passages but the passages themselves)
b) whatever youÕve done thus far on your paperÉ.notes or
even a draft. If you have a rough
(no matter how rough) draft of the paper or an outline, IÕd like to have a look
at it.
Exam: As per our agreement the other day, you may take the
exam whenever you wish Ð your exam will be ready for pickup in the Dept. of
Classics office (in the pickup box on top of the file cabinet next to the
secretaryÕs desk) starting Monday morning (Mar. 15). The exam requires translation of two passages: for those of
you reading Latin *or* Greek, youÕll have three passages from which you must
choose two; for those of you reading Latin *and* Greek, youÕll have two
passages in Latin from which you must choose one, and two passages in Greek
from which you must choose one.
You have two hours to complete the exam; when youÕre done, please bring
it to my office or, if IÕm not in, leave it in my mailbox in the departmental
office. Any questions, just ask!
