Flow Noise Study

Flow Noise Study

Flow noise resulting from oceanic turbulence and interactions with pressure sensitive transducers can interfere with the hydrophone recorded signals. This noise source is particularly important in mobile hydrophones (such as towed hydrophones) and in low frequency measurements.

In this study, we use COMSOL Multiphysics® software to study the flow noise recorded by a towed hydrophone at different towed speed.
